Will McLean Greeley – SNHU History Speaker Series (Virtual event)

Virtual event

The Southern New Hampshire University History department is proud to host this series of virtual events, where professional historians engage with SNHU students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Speakers will discuss their careers, accomplishments, and publications; discuss issues of importance to the field of history; and take questions from the audience. Each event will last 60-90 minutes and recordings of these events will be distributed on university’s social media and video and podcast feeds.

At this event, Will McLean Greeley will discuss his recent book publication, A Connecticut Yankee Goes to Washington: Senator George P. McLean, Birdman of the Senate, a biography of politician George MacLean, a Gilded Age and Progressive Era reformer and conservationist whose best known accomplishment was the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. Will Greeley holds degrees in political science and archive administration and worked in government and corporate market research before retirement. This virtual event is in collaboration with SNHU’s ChronoScholars History Club, the SNHU History department, and the Working Historians podcast series.
