Comics Studies Monograph Series
The RIT Press Comics Studies Monograph Series is devoted to exploring comics culture: its characters, creators, and ideas. The series addresses major themes in comics studies, including genres, national traditions, and historical and theoretical issues. Understanding the diverse origins of the medium, the series sheds light on the evolution of comic strips, comic books, and graphic novels in social, political, and economic contexts. With elegant book design and full color images, the series is committed to presenting in-depth studies in a sophisticated way that complements the medium. As a result, the series celebrates visual culture globally through critical interventions for an audience that includes scholars, teachers, and general readers. If you’d contribute to comics studies in this way, send your proposal to ritcomicsproposals@gmail.com.
